Spears, Trawick celebrate engagement in Las Vegas

Los Angeles, Dec 18: Singer Britney Spears and her beau Jason Trawick, celebrated their engagement with a private party in Las Vegas.

The couple, who has been dating since two years, held a private event for family and friends at Planet Hollywood Resort Friday night, followed by a lavish dinner at the Chocolate Lounge in the Paris Hotel.

The night continued with a dance party at the Chateau nightclub, reports contactmusic.com.

Trawick made the news of the engagement official in a text to his friend and TV anchor Billy Bush.

“Yes, we are engaged,” wrote Trawick, adding that he was “over the moon”.

Spears also indirectly confirmed the good news through a post on micro-blogging site Twitter.

“Omg (Oh my god). Last night Jason surprised me with the one gift I’ve been waiting for. Can’t wait to show you!” tweeted Spears.

Trawick proposed during a dinner to celebrate his 40th birthday Thursday night.
